Adam Levine Wins a 2013 President’s Award at the BMI Pop Awards

Voice coach Blake Shelton recently won a 2013 ACM award, but he isn’t the only coach to be showered with honors. Pop rocker Adam Levine is about to be awarded the BMI Pop President’s Award.

On May 14, Adam will be given the honor at a ceremony for his work in songwriting and for changing the pop music culture.

"Adam has mastered the art of writing unforgettable pop and rock hits," said BMI Vice President and General Manager Barbara Cane. "Captivating music lovers with his undeniable and memorable lyrics and catchy melodies, Adam's pop anthems and heartfelt ballads are defining an exciting brand of global stardom."

We couldn’t agree more. Adam’s hit Maroon 5 songs like “Sunday Morning,” “Moves Like Jagger,” and “She Will Be Loved” have changed the landscape of Top 40 radio.

It’s nice to see the star getting some recognition. But Adam might be too busy coaching on The Voice Season 4 to even notice.

Are you surprised Adam’s being awarded? Tell us below!
