Adorable Rare Australian Baby Flying Fox Bat Rescued (VIDEO)

Those big eyes, tiny clinging feel, and omigawd that teeny tiny tongue! We just can’t with this video right now. This baby Australian Flying Fox bat named Blossom (swoon!) was recently rescued by Louise Saunders of Bat Conservation & Rescue.

Part of the description of this adorable YouTube video, which was posted by Adam Cox on the Creatura Channel, reads:

Blossom was still a baby when she came into care and was fed a nectar mix recipe and the occasional milk formula which is fed to other baby flying foxes. Over time she gradually gained weight and began to practice flying during the night. Often Blossom would dart in and out of rooms and even hover above Louise as she slept before retiring to her little brown bag at dawn.

While we admit that the idea of a baby bat hovering above us while we sleep is more than a bit unnerving, seeing this sweet pea in the video makes us so happy that she is safe and sound.

Blossom was rehabilitated by Louise after a suspected cat attack, fed a nectar mix and the occasional milk, and was finally released back into the wild after gaining weight and strength.
