“I had my face & hands burned by a laser,” she tweeted, alongside a close-up of her red and raw mug. “Doctor said he could get rid of my melasma :/ it was too hard for my skin.”
Melasma, also known as “Chloasma faciei,” is a skin discoloration with symptoms that include dark, irregular patches found on the upper cheeks, nose, forehead, and lips. It’s particularly common in women, especially those who are pregnant, taking oral or patch contraceptives, or undergoing hormone replacement therapy.
Unfortunately, Brandi’s desire to get rid of the hyperpigmentation didn’t go as planned. “[I’m] still healing, it’s been depressing,” said the “skin obsessed” star.
In fact, the 40-year-old is so fanatical about her appearance, she hopes to turn her compulsion into a career. “I have a skin obsession,” she revealed on Wednesday, April 10. “And when all this Hollywood stuff is over, I will def be in the beauty biz!”
Man-melting red lipsticks and mascaras by Brandi? We’ll be the first in line.
