Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

LeAnn Rimes, Eddie Cibrian May Star in Sitcom About Their Lives

Is LeAnn Rimes about to become a sitcom star?

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Brandi Glanville probably won't be too happy to learn that LeAnn and Brandi's ex-husband, Eddie Cibrian, are talking to networks about starring in a sitcom based on their lives, according to Us Weekly.

LeAnn and Eddie "have been shopping around a scripted comedy based on their lives together," says a source. "They would play versions of themselves, kind of like on Curb Your Enthusiasm." To quote Larry David, this sounds pretty good, pretty good.

And of course a show based around LeAnn and Eddie's lives wouldn't be complete without someone playing Brandi.

"The show will have a crazy ex-wife!" continues the source. Ouch.

We had previously reported that Eddie and LeAnn were in talks with netowrks about getting their own reality series, but this is the first we're hearing of a sitcom, with someone portraying a Brandi-type character.

So will Eddie and Brandi's son appear on the show? They won't, which makes sense, given that Eddie refused to let the boys appear on Season 3 of Real Housewives.

"Mason and Jake are not involved," the insider adds about the boys. "If kids end up being on it, they would be played by actors not Eddie's children."

So how close is this show to moving forward?

"They've met with a few networks," says a different source. "Nothing is finalized yet, but they're seeing where the show could go."

Hmm. We're really not sure what to make of this, since we've never thought of LeAnn and Eddie as being comedic actors. It's also unusual for a real-life couple to star in a fictionalized show about themselves.

Still, we must say we would definitely tune in to this show if it ever makes it to the air. And of course the biggest question: Who would play Brandi? Her shoes are not easy to fill.
