Remember that time on Nashville when Lamar (Powers Boothe) threatened his daughter’s ex’s mistress and then maybe had a heart attack? Good, cuz it just happened last week, and so we’ve been a little worried that he won’t live to surprise another floozy. But worry not, our little peachkins, because we have all the scoop you need.
According to TVLine’s Michael Ausiello, the stroke-heart attack-whatever is not going to be fatal. So, that’s out of the way, for now. But that’s not all there is to it. We’ve enjoyed watching him make people uncomfortable through his charming combination of intimidation and excellent timing for confrontations. But that may indeed be dead.
“He’s one tough customer,” series creator Callie Khouri reveals. “But there’s also the oh-how-the-mighty-have-fallen aspect to deal with. It’s a different place than we’ve seen him throughout the whole season. He seems very strong and a kind of invincible person. And then suddenly you realize: Everybody’s mortal.”
How do you feel about a softer version of Rayna and Tandy’s pops? Can he make amends with the people he’s wronged — and would you even want to watch that? Weigh in below.
