Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Finale Speculation: What Will Happen?

We don't know much about the Grey's Anatomy Season 9 finale, but from what few spoilers we have heard, it sounds like it's going to be big, dramatic, and potentially dangerous. So, what might happen as Season 9 comes to an end? We've gathered a few theories right here, based on spoilers and what's going on in the show right now.

A literal explosion: We know the first part of the two part finale features an explosion. We're guessing that's far from the end of the story or Shonda Rhimes would never allow that bit of info to be leaked, but it's possible that there will be a literal explosion that puts our docs in danger and sends the show into its standard disaster mode for the finale.

An explosive fight: On the other hand, maybe that "explosion" is metaphorical. Could we be heading to a major emotional blowout of some sort?

Something goes wrong with Meredith's pregnancy. We're 99 percent confident that Mer will end up having a happy, healthy baby, but so much time has been spent on her pregnancy worries this season that we wouldn't be shocked if she ended up having some sort of complication in the finale. That could make a good cliffhanger: Does Mer and/or the baby survive whatever goes wrong? (Also, hello Addison Montgomery!)

Bailey gets fired. Season 9, Episode 20: "She's Killing Me" left off with the implication that Bailey could be in huge trouble. We wouldn't be surprised to see that plotline weave through the rest of the season, perhaps even culminating in Bailey getting fired at the end of the year. (Only to get re-hired next year ... right?)

Of course, knowing Shonda Rhimes, she'll pull out a twist we never saw coming. Share your theory about what will go down in the comments below.
