The Vampire Diaries

Movies/TV Shows Improved by Vampire Diaries’ Damon, Stefan, and Klaus

If you’re anything like us, a week without the dudes of The Vampire Diaries is worse than a week without sunshine. It’s no exaggeration. There is almost nothing so bad in this life that it can’t be improved by a little Damon (Ian Somerhalder), Stefan (Paul Wesley), and Klaus (Joseph Morgan).

If the most recent dearth of episodes have got you down, we’ve got the cure for you. Not the actual “cure,” mind you. We’re pretty sure Elijah (Daniel Gillies) is holding on to that for dear life. Anyway, until new episodes return next week, here’s a list of movies and TV shows that would be vastly improved with a visit from some of Mystic Falls hunkier undead heroes.

1. Two and a Half Men

While the addition of Ashton Kutcher to the cast after Charlie Sheen’s muchly publicized departure definitely added some zest to the popular show, imagine what would happen if Damon and Stefan moved in across the street. Jon Cryer taking lessons on wooing ladies courtesy of Damon while Stefan and Ashton sat brooding? We’d watch that.

2. Bonny and Clyde

This classic cops-and-robbers movie starring Warren Beatty at his foxiest and Faye Dunaway at her most beret-wearing-est is made even more bittersweet when you remember that it’s based on a true story. While Bonnie and Clyde wind up riddled with bullets, we have a feeling things would have gone a little differently had it been Bonnie and Klaus — like a little gunfire ever stopped him.

3. Cheers

Sometimes it is nice to go where everybody knows your name. We can all agree on that. The boys spend enough time in bars, so the idea of owning and running one shouldn’t be much of stretch. Damon can be the Sam, owner and former sports star, maybe Matt can be his gormless barback Woody. Add Stefan as regular Cliff, and have the whole place say, “Klaus!” instead of “Norm!” and you’ve got a hit on your hands.

4. Pretty Little Liars

This isn’t too far outside of the realm of possibility. After all, Rebekah and Mrs. Wesley (aka, Dr. Fell) have both made appearances on the stellar whodunnit. The town of Rosewood, PA is rife with its own set of murderous secrets, the biggest of all being those helping the nefarious ‘A’. What if the A Team was so good it had recruited vampires to help them with all their schemes? What if Stefan and Damon tried to throw Aria from the train? What if Mona is secretly dating Klaus?

5. Glee

Everyone’s favorite musical television show has always been one for taking risks. Having Mr. Schue take a leave of absence and allowing Klaus to come in as his replacement? That would be a cakewalk. Add Damon as Jane Lynch’s latest crony and you’ve got an unbeatable combination of awesome.
