Will Lindsay Lohan Succeed in Rehab? Her Father: “I Don’t Think So”
Lindsay Lohan has to go to rehab for 90 days, and her father, Michael Lohan, told TMZ he doesn't have high hopes that it will solve her problems.
Michael said Lindsay is battling with drugs, pills and cocaine — and she also has to give up smoking, since that's also banned at the rehab center. TMZ's Harvey Levin asked Michael if he thought Lindsay would succeed in this latest trip to rehab. "I'm praying to God she will." But what does he really think? "Honestly, I hope so but I don't think so."
TMZ also asked what Dad thought of Lindsay going to the Coachella music festival this weekend. "I think it's probably one of the worst ideas she could've ever, ever had," Papa Lohan said. "I really think it's not a good thing. She's around — what did the court say, Harvey: Stay away from people or places where there might be drugs or alcohol."
Yeah. It does seem like she'll be surrounded by temptation at Coachella. If you're an addict, and you want to get better, it's probably not a good idea to be in that atmosphere.
Do you have high hopes for Lindsay? She recently admitted to David Letterman that she has been to rehab "several" times before, but she thought this new stint — which starts May 2 — would be good for her. "I'm happiest when I'm working and healthiest, and I think this is an opportunity for me to focus on what I love in life. And I don't think it's a bad thing. I think it's a blessing."
