Connie Britton’s New Movie: Which Girls Actor Is She Romancing?

Hannah (Lena Dunham) on Girls may have taken a little while to warm up to him, but Nashville’s Connie Britton (Rayna) certainly seems open to giving this guy a shot! Entertainment Weekly reports that Connie has signed on to play the love interest of Girls actor Adam Driver in a dark new comedy film called This Is Where I Leave You.

Not going to lie: We’re not entirely sure how we feel about this casting news. His character on the hit HBO show is definitely not our pick for excellent boyfriend material. Not only was Adam a needy and borderline creepy boyfriend for Hannah, but the way he treated new girlfriend Natalia (Shiri Appleby) in Girls Season 2 romance arc, was downright unacceptable.

Long story short: The thought of seeing Connie swap spit with this semi-tool isn’t exactly something we’re looking forward to.

But swap spit they will. Connie’s signed on to play the “age-inappropriate girlfriend” of Adam’s character — she’s 46 while he’s 29. Her character, a therapist, will enjoy pointing out exactly how dysfunctional everyone in his family is. Call us crazy, but we’re not sure that’s exactly the best way to get your boyfriend’s family to like you!

The film co-stars the likes of Tina Fey, Jane Fonda, Jason Bateman, and Timothy Olyphant. Translation: We have to see it. Now.

And while Connie and Adam’s cougar relationship may raise some eyebrows, the actress herself seems to have no problem with it. "Let's put it this way: The older you get, the easier it is to date younger men," she told New York Times Magazine in February.

More power to you, girl! But one word of advice: Try to aim for younger men who are ridiculously hot... not ridiculous hot messes.
