Kim Zolciak Reportedly Asks Judge to Toss Kandi Burruss’s Lawsuit Against Her
There's major musical beef cooking up between former Real Housewives of Atlanta castmates Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss. It all started when Kandi, the mastermind and co-writer of Kim's breakout single "Don't Be Tardy," slapped a copyright infringement lawsuit on her ex-pal, alleging that Kim "hoarded profits" and used the song without her consent. Kandi received a one-time pay for her services back in 2009, but now she's demanding royalties.
Kim's response? Bitch, please.
In fact, the wig enthusiast is so annoyed by Kandi's behavior that she's filed her own retaliatory lawsuit asking the judge to toss the entire case (out the passenger side of her ex-friend's ride, we assume). According to TMZ, Kim told the judge that Kandi's entire game is one big media stunt to drum up publicity for her upcoming spin-off, The Kandi Factory.
And while we love us some Kandi Burruss, it seems like Kim might have a valid point — the pair made a verbal agreement back in 2009 when "Don't Be Tardy" was released, but they never drafted a written contract concerning royalties. At this point it's just another game of she-said-she-said.
