Rihanna Cancels Houston Concert Due to Undisclosed Illness
Rihanna fans in Houston got a bum deal when they discovered that the “Where Have You Been” singer would not be showing up to last night’s concert.
According to Us Weekly, Live Nation, the company behind Rihanna’s show, announced that the Barbadian songbird was canceling her Houston concert “as a result of illness,” instructing ticket-holders to keep their passes for use at a rescheduled performance.
RiRi’s habit of canceling and showing up late has been upsetting some of the Rihanna Navy, as evidenced by some of the recent backlash against the star from fans.
Just last month, Rihanna canceled two tour dates after coming down with laryngitis. She apologized to her fans, tweeting, “This is the hardest thing for me to deal with! I feel like we've been waiting on this day forever, and I'm hurt that I let you down. I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I'm so embarrassed about this! Thank you for your prayers and well wishes!"
In the same month, Rihanna incurred the wrath of 2000 Chicago public school students, who waited three and a half hours for her, only to get just twelve minutes of time with Rihanna once she arrived at the school.
Rihanna has not issued a personal apology to fans in Houston for her canceled show yet.
