Synopsis of Glee’s Season 4 Finale: “All or Nothing” — With Jessica Sanchez!

This season of Glee is quickly coming to an end. FOX has released the official synopsis for the Season 4 finale — Episode 22: "All Or Nothing."

This final episode, which will center around the New Directions trip to Regionals (yep: not Nationals), airs on Thursday, May 9, at 9pm on FOX. It follows an American Idol results show at 8pm, but that’s not the only Idol tie in.

The Season 4 finale will be the debut episode of last year’s Idol runner-up, Jessica Sanchez. The Hollywood Reporter previously said that Jessica would appear in both Episodes 21 and 22. It appears that her time on Glee has now been shortened to only the Episode 22 finale.

To help ease the sting of that bad news, here’s a bit of Jessica info that isn’t so sad. We’ve now learned new details about her character, including her name. FOX’s synopsis reads:

The members of New Directions travel to Regionals. But the competition gets tough when they go head-to-head with the Hoosierdaddies and lead singer Frida Romero (guest star Jessica Sanchez). Meanwhile, Rachel (Lea Michele) finds out if she gets the callback for Funny Girl on Broadway.

This definitely might not be Jessica’s last episode, either! Glee creator Ryan Murphy has teased that the finale will have “many cliffhangers”... so we’re betting Jess has a very good shot of being back next season.

As for the other cliffhangers, one of them likely revolves around Rachel’s Broadway audition. And we’re fairly certain that Glee’s shocking marriage proposal might be another. Note to Ryan Murphy: pleasepleaseplease let him say yes!
