Dancing With The Stars

Is Maksim Chmerkovskiy Willing to Return to Dancing With the Stars 2013? “Absolutely”

Did you enjoy the Maks factor of Dancing With the Stars Season 16 Week 5? You may get more of it!

Maksim Chmerkovskiy is not a competing pro on the spring 2013 season, but he’s still under contract with the ABC show — and he doesn’t seem like he’s running away from home at all, despite rumors out there that he was “quitting” the show. After dancing with top-scoring Zendaya Coleman and Val Chmerkovskiy and close-to-the-top Jacoby Jones and Karina Smirnoff, Maks talked to reporters backstage.

How's it feel to be back? "Like I never left," Maks told E! News, before delving into the what-happened-to-Maks rumors. "It's been interesting to just sit back and watch everybody talk about this, and kind of speculate what really happened, what this was all about. It was funny to watch some people say he was fired, other people say he quit, which neither one is true. But certain relationships are staying behind closed doors, and this is family, you know? Aside from Val, this is my family."

On the Red Carpet asked Maks if he would ever be back on the show. "I never said that I left," he answered. More specifically, would he come back to do a pro dance on a Tuesday night Results Show? "Absolutely,” Maks said. “Again, my newly found relationship with General Hospital isn't over. So I can't really say much more, but if time permits I'm here. I'm available. Obviously, Val and Zendaya — anytime." So he’ll be back on GH at some point as well as potentially on DWTS. It is like he never left!

What do you think about Maks returning to DWTS either on a Results Show, as a pro helper like this week, or to compete on a future season? Or maybe as a judge?
