Kim Kardashian Attacked On Twitter After Boston Bombings
The Twitterverse was in a tizzy on the afternoon of April 15, as news of the horrific bombings at the Boston Marathon spread. Soon after the explosions occurred, Kim Kardashian took to Twitter to share some thoughts with her fans.
“My heart is breaking for everyone effected or injured in the explosion at the Boston Marathon. God bless you all! My prayers are with you!” she wrote.
Then, 24 minutes later, Kim shared more thoughts. But this time, they were about Kris Jenner’s upcoming appearance on QVC.
“Check out @krisjenner on @QVC’s PM Style Show at 7PM EST tonight!” read Kim’s tweet, which has since been deleted, but preserved on Hollywood Life.
Some of her 17+ million followers were less than pleased with Kim’s timing, and let her know with some pretty nasty responses.
“America is in the midst of a tragedy right now. F— you,” read one furious reply.
“WE DNT GIVE A F— RIGHT NOW KIM,” read another.
Yikes! Sadly, Kim wasn’t the only Kardashian family member who drew fire from Twitter fans yesterday. Kris Jenner made the exact same mistake her daughter did.
“Dolls! Don’t miss me tonight at 8pm ET on @QVC! I’m debuting my gorg new scoopneck tunic on PM Style!! Join me!” Kris wrote, and received a similarly livid response. She wrote two messages of this nature, but both have since been deleted.
What do you think guys, did Kim and Kris deserve this public flogging they got for these tweets? There’s no denying the timing was terrible, but everything about that event was terrible. Kim acknowledged the horrific incident, which we applaud, but we’re unclear as to what the appropriate waiting period should have been before she addressed another topic. It’s a touchy subject! Was Kim being incredibly insensitive, or were these fans overreacting? Let us know!
