Rachael Ray Show Sued Over Segment on Overweight Teens
A teen girl is suing Rachael Ray's show for humiliation and anxiety suffered during a recent segment on overweight teens, according to TMZ.
Christina Pagliarolo, who weighed 260 lbs. at the time, agreed to take part in the segment.
In the lawsuit, Christina claims the trainer made her run and hike through the mountains, yelling and screaming at her all the while.
At one point during the taping, Christina claims that the trainer put her on a StairMaster and kept cranking up the speed until she fell off.
She says that the trainer then yelled at her for falling.
Christina says she suffered severe injuries as a result of the segment, including leg pain, and she is suing the show for negligence and infliction of emotional distress.
This is not the first time Rachael Ray has been involved with lawsuit drama.
In 2008, her former accountant claimed he had been forced out of his job with the show because he has an eating disorder, according to the Huffington Post.
He alleged that his supervisor said things like "Anorexics are sick in the head," and "Anorexics should not be able to work." Yikes.
We're hoping this new lawsuit gets resolved quickly.
