Making our American Idol predictions for who will end up in the bottom two on this week’s elimination show was easy. Determining which girl will actually be the one who was eliminated on American Idol tonight from the Top 5 at the end of the night was a bit tougher. Especially since the American Idol judges do still have a ‘save’ in their pockets to use if they so desire.
After looking back over the voting results from the season so far, and rewatching all the American Idol performances from the Top 5 last night, we’ve finally come to our conclusion on who should be the one going home this week. Whether or not the voters or the judges will agree with us, however, remains to be seen!
While former front-runner favorite Angie Miller has experienced a few rough moments lately, we are almost 100 percent positive she will not be in the bottom two. She pulled out two great performances last night and her fans still remember that amazing original song she sang back in Hollywood rounds. That original could carry her all the way to the American Idol Season 12 finale all by itself!
We’re also pretty certain Kree Harrison will be up there in the Top 3 in the American Idol results show tonight. Her near-flawless performances week after week have made her a strong favorite to win and last night’s stellar showing only gave her another boost toward that goal. If there is a girl to beat on American Idol 2013 right now, it’s Kree.
Candice Miller got a bit of a slow start in the finals, although she’s never really been less than great. Her American Idol performances in the last few rounds, however, have been out of this world. Candice has gone from looking like the almost guaranteed 3rd or 4th place finisher to a very possible winner. If she isn’t in the Top 3 tonight, something is very, very wrong with America.
That leaves us with Janelle Arthur and Amber Holcomb for our bottom two. Over at Idol Analytics, Janelle and Amber are listed as both being in the danger zone based on stats pulled from dial in votes volume. Fans voted heavily at Rickey.org that Janelle would be cut. Right here at Wetpaint, our fan readers said Janelle would be the one who went home on American Idol 2013 tonight, but Amber was not far behind in the votes to be eliminated.
We think it will most likely end up being Janelle Arthur on the chopping block at the end of the evening. If that happens, we honestly are not sure whether or not the American Idol judges will use their save power. This is the last night they can, but whether they think Janelle is truly worth saving is questionable. We’re going to lean toward a no, they won’t use it.
If, however, Amber Holcomb does somehow end up on the bottom, we are absolutely certain the judges will use their save power to keep her in the competition. Interestingly enough, that would work out perfectly for the current American Idol schedule. If the judges do not use their save tonight, there is going to have to be a filler week of some sort or a suddenly announced week without Idol.
We’ve made our American Idol predictions for who will be in the bottom two tonight and who will come in last in the votes. Now tell us yours!
