American Idol 2013: Season 12 Top 5 Roundup — Our Favs!

It’s the home stretch for the American Idol 2013 Top 5 and, with Lazaro Arbos out of the picture (sorry, you were thinking it, too), it’s really anyone’s competition to win. You’ve gotta love American Idol when the Top 5 are all stellar competitors and amazing vocalists. Of course, we do have our faves, so we’re heading into our American Idol Season 12 Top 5 roundup:

Our Least Favorite Girls:

Janelle Arthur: This girl could have probably made the finale in another season but, with vocalists like Candice and Kree in the competition, we just don’t see how this could happen. While we love Nicki Minaj’s “little marshmallow” and truly believe she’s got a promising career in country music, we think she’ll be out sooner rather than later.

Amber Holcomb: Okay, we admit it. We tend to feel a bit ambivalent about this girl, just like America seems to when it comes voting time. While we agree with Jimmy Iovine that she is an extremely talented vocalist, we’re more drawn to the other girls. And we can’t exactly put our finger on why. Perhaps we’re not sure where she fits in with today’s music scene, whereas some of the other performers seem more relevant.

Our Favorite Girls:

Kree Harrison: We’ve said this girl will win for a while now and, week after week, we’ve stood by our prediction. We were a bit worried this past week when Jimmy pointed out her performances are getting a bit boring, but we think that will light a fire under her this week. Watch out, America, as we should be in for two unforgettable performances by Kree this week.

Candice Glover: We were kind of on the fence about Candice a few weeks ago as, just like with Amber, we weren’t exactly sure where she fit in when it comes to today’s music scene. She hit the stage last week to sing Adele’s “Lovesong,” which was written by The Cure, and she made us believe she could release a relevant

Angie Miller: After performing her original song, “You Set Me Free,” during Hollywood Week, we predicted this Boston-area native would win it all. She’s had a few missteps here and there, however, unlike Kree and Candice. If she can bring it all together, she could still easily be a contender for the Idol crown.

Who is your favorite to win in this historic all girls American Idol Top 5?
