Real Housewives of New York

Sheree Whitfield Says Real Housewives of New York Needs a Black Cast Member

New York City has been called the melting pot of the United States, and for good reason — the five boroughs are culturally diverse. However, one former Housewife claims she doesn’t see this portrayed on The Real Housewives of New York — which was just renewed for Season 6 and hasn’t finalized casting — and thinks the show needs a black cast member.

Sheree Whitfield, who departed The Real Housewives of Atlanta after Season 4, told Naughty But Nice Rob that it could bring a new angle to the long-running show.

“For some reason, people are intrigued by the Atlanta women. It’s a show with African American women living a certain lifestyle and people are really interested,” she dished. “These ladies bring drama and a lot of different aspects to the show. They need to get some of my girls on those other shows.”

While she doesn’t drop any show names, Rob notes that Sheree was talking about RHoNY with him. Do you agree with her, or do you just want to see the ladies you already know and love instead of a new batch of H’wives? Sound off below!
