Glee’s Sue Sylvester is Back — But Not How You’d Expect
Glee’s school shooting episode was emotional enough, just in the time we thought there was an unknown gunman stalking the halls of McKinley High. But when Sue Sylvester(Jane Lynch) took the fall for Becky (Lauren Potter) and got herself canned, we felt absolutely gut-punched.
Sure, Sue’s probably violated a millions bylaws in the school’s code of conduct (we’re pretty sure it’s not okay to blackmail students), but we just couldn’t imaging Glee without her biting wit and tell-it-like-it-is mentality.
Well, it looks like we worried for nothing, because Sue is back next week — just not as the Cheerios coach.
The promo for Glee Season 4, Episode 19: “Lights Out” shows Sue has certainly landed on her feet — not that we would expect anything less — and landed a new job. From the legwarmers and workout attire, we’d guess she’s either teaching Jazzercize or Zumba, or she’s doing a remake of Olivia Newton-John’s “Physical.” (JK, she already did that.)
However, Blaine seems determined to find out what really happened the day shots went off in Sue’s office, so it’s probably only a matter of time before she’s back in her old job. One question remains: Once she gets there, how hard will it be to get Coach Roz Washington (NeNe Leakes) to give up her position?
