Once Upon a Time Season 2 Spoilers: A “New Chapter” For Rumbelle
What can we expect from the final four episodes of Once Upon a TimeSeason 2? Co-creator Edward Kitsis dished the dirt to TV Line, and it sounds like the show will be going back to its roots to focus on the central characters we all know and love.
“You’re going to see all the core characters front and center,” said Edward about the home stretch of episodes that starts this Sunday with Season 2, Episode 19: “Lacey.” What exactly does that mean?
“We’re going to see a new chapter in the Rumple/Belle story that we’ve never seen… we’re going to see an Evil Queen and Snow White story that we’re excited about… and we’re going to get some backstory on Baelfire and Captain Hook.”
That sounds...awesome. These are all storylines that have been building, but haven’t seen much pay-off. We’re glad to hear that the Powers That Be plan on providing some answers.
As for when these revelations will take place, we know the Rumbelle storyline will be addressed in the next episode, which finds Belle transformed into “Lacey,” a person Rumple describes as “a scantily-clad barfly.” Will Lacey be sticking around for more than just an episode? Could that be the “new chapter” Edward is referring to?
As for Regina and Snow White, we have known for some time that this central relationship will be getting more play come the end of the season and had time to think about what we want that to look like. It seems like Regina has adopted a more passive plan to taking out Snow - waiting for her blackened heart to do the job for her. We want to see these two forced together again to talk about their complicated relationship, and think that may come about if Henry is kidnapped.
