"Obviously [Belle’s] involved with the situation, but what sort of transpires from that I think I'd like people to be more surprised," Emilie said about Belle’s connection to Rumple’s undoing.
It’s vague, yes, but we’re intrigued by the implication that Belle will be involved. Ever since we heard the Seer’s prophecy, we’ve been wondering what exactly “undoing” means and the suggestion that Belle may play a part makes us wonder if “undoing” could have a more positive connotation than Rumple originally assumed. Could his “undoing” refer to his dark side specifically? Perhaps Rumple will finally rid himself of his Dark One identity with Henry and Belle’s help?
There is also the complication of Lacey. Is Emilie referring to Belle or to Belle’s Storybrooke counterpart, Lacey? Regina gives her Lacey’s memories in Season 2, Episode 19: “Lacey,” so that means for now, Belle is gone. Though Emilie says that Lacey is a good person just like Belle, she is also drawn to Rumple’s dark side. Will she encourage Rumple to embrace that dark side, resulting in him attempting to kill Henry, or will Lacey bring out the best in Rumple, just like Belle always has? So many questions, so little time.
