American Idol 2013 Top 4 Share Their Earth Day Tips (VIDEOS)
In celebration of Earth Day, the American Idol 2013 Top 4 ladies share how they feel about this special day of awareness and the little things they try to do every day to be more eco-friendly.
American Idol Season 12 country singer Kree Harrison says she’s really “excited about” Earth Day and celebrates it every year. “A few things that I like to do to be eco-friendly is, I like to recycle, I like to conserve energy and water.” She says she feels closest to nature when she is at the beach. “You feel so small, next to the ocean, it’s crazy.”
Amber Holcomb says Earth Day “is so important because it brings awareness to a lot of things that we need to take care of on this planet.” Amber adds that “three things I do that are eco-friendly, I turn the TV off when I go to bed, I try to recycle every chance I get, and I turn the water off when I brush my teeth.”
To Candice Glover, Earth Day “is an opportunity for people to become more aware of ways that they can take care of the planet in a better way.” Candice says some of the everyday things you can do to be eco-friendly include turning off lights when you leave a room and turning the water off when you are brushing your teeth. The American Idol 2013 Top 4 finalist lives on an island, “so I always feel like I’m close to nature.”
Angie Miller thinks Earth Day is “so great for us to be reminded how great the Earth is and to just celebrate it and take good care of it.” Angie says she makes sure to recycle and turns the lights off when she leaves a room. We have to note, however, that she says she constantly drinks “bottle water” and recycles the bottles. It might be just a bit more Earth-friendly, Angie, if you bought a reusable water bottle and refilled it — just saying.
