Midas Whale and Patrick Dodd Sing “Burning Love” on The Voice 2013 Battle Rounds — Sneak Peek (VIDEO)

What happens when you a pair a folk duo and a blues singer together on The Voice? Musical greatness! Team Adam Levine’s Midas Whale and Patrick Dodd will be pitted against one another in the April 22 battle rounds singing Elvis Presley’s “Burning Love.”

It might seem like Memphis, Tenn. native, Patrick, has the upper hand considering Elvis spent most of his years recording at Sun Studios in Patrick’s town, but Midas Whale definitely holds their own.

In the sneak peek, Midas Whale is able to conquer challenging harmonies and work as a “real duo.” These hilarious boys might just be the key to a duo taking home the title this season.

In the past, Adam’s admitted that he doesn’t know what to do with duos, but with the resurgence of folk music in the industry, he’d be a fool not to advance them.

At the same time, Patrick’s grit and soul cannot be denied. But his growling sounds might not be best suited for a popular singing competition like The Voice.

But who do you think won the battle? Tell us below!
