TV Anchor Fired After Saying “F–king S–t” on Air — on His First Day at Work

The next time you have the first-day jitters, remember A.J. Clemente.

As the young reporter tweeted himself, "That couldn't have gone any worse!"

What happened? At the start of his first day as a weekend anchor at the NBC affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota, A.J. was heard saying "F--kin' sh-t" on air. He clearly didn't know his mic was on, and his co-anchor, Van Tieu, had the painfully awkward task of trying to follow those words with a formal introduction of A.J. to the viewers. (Watch the video below.)

Since everything in our modern age has the capability of going viral, this did. At first A.J. was just suspended for his actions but, according to Fox News Latino, the day after his debut he was officially fired. “Unfortunately KFYRTV has decided to let me go,” A.J. tweeted. “Thank you to them and everyone in ND (North Dakota) for the opportunity and everyone for the support. Rookie mistake. I'm a free agent.Cant help but laugh at myself and stay positive.Wish i didnt trip over my 'Freaking Shoes' out of the gate."

He may actually land a cool sympathy gig, since we all make mistakes, but we don't all make mistakes this big or this publicly. It may turn out to be the best thing that could’ve happened to him!
