American Idol 2013 Top 4 Song Choices — What We Think They Should Sing!

While nothing has been confirmed yet for the official themes this Wednesday, our American Idol 2013 spoilers source hasn't let us down yet. The Top 4 will have reportedly have two themes again this week this week: one hit wonders and free choice. With both of these being fairly wide open, we have a feeling these girls are going to knock it out of the park. We’ve gone ahead and picked songs we can see them performing below:

One-Hit Wonders:

Amber Holcomb: While The Temptations made “Earth Angel” a big hit in the 1950s, it’s technically a one-hit wonder for the original band, The Penguins. Amber has shown us she can go contemporary with her recent performance of Beyonce’s “Love On Top,” but we think she really shines when she goes old school (‘member “My Funny Valentine”?).

Angie Miller: Okay, we actually picked this song for Kree a few weeks back, but we think Angie could have another one of her shining moments if she took on Sinead O’Connor’s “Nothing Compares 2 U”.

Candice Glover: This powerhouse vocalist is on a history-making run of amazing performances. We’d love for her to sing 4 Non Blondes’ “What’s Up”. It’s not exactly her style, but when has that stopped her before? Exactly.

Kree Harrison: This is going to be a controversial pick, but what do you think of Kree taking on Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Achy Breaky Heart”? It’s definitely got a high cheeseball factor, but she’s got the country chops to pull it off in a non-cheeseball way. Jimmy Iovine complained that this Nashville singer’s performances were getting boring, and this would be anything but that.

Free Choice:

Amber Holcomb: The world is this girl’s oyster, and we can only imagine she’ll choose something that will showcase those signature vocals. The question remains – when is America going to get on the Amber train? We’re on board and, after watching her do beautifully with Kelly Clarkson’s “A Moment Like This” a few weeks ago, we’d love to see her take on “Catch My Breath”. It would be like nothing she’s ever done before, and we think that would be a good thing.

Angie Miller: Okay, so Rihanna’s “Stay” does feature another artist (Mikky Ekko), but if Angie could work around this, she could absolutely kill this. And she could do it at the piano, which is where the American Idol judges hope she remains. Of course, we'd rather see her do another original number and blow it out of the park, if she is allowed that choice.

Candice Glover: This girl can do no wrong, so we’re just dying to know what she’s going to sing. She’s got an old soul, but she’s also shown us she can go contemporary, having brought down the house with Adele’s version of “Lovesong”. If she would dare to take on Adele again, she could wrap up this competition by singing "Skyfall".

Kree Harrison: We love us some P!nk, and we’ve been dying for someone to sing one of her songs. Imagine Kree taking on P!nk’s “Glitter In the Air”. We get chills just thinking about it. Our other choice would be for her to sing the original song she wrote for her deceased parents. It’s simply amazing, but we wonder if she’d be able to get through it without breaking down.

What do you think of our choices? What would you pick for the Top Four to sing?
