The Voice 2013: Best Performance From the Season 4 Battle Rounds, April 22, 2013 (VIDEO)

In the final week of battle rounds on The Voice 2013, the competition is getting more intense as contestants fight for the opportunity to stay on the show by winning the battle or snagging one of the coveted steals.

There were plenty of impressive performances last night, but the most upsetting element was the eliminated contestants versus the stolen ones. The talented pool of eliminated contestants was significantly stronger than those who were stolen.

For example, eliminated rocker Jacqui Sandell, powerhouse Jessica Childress, and blues singer Patrick Dodd were much more impressive than stolen contestants C. Perkins or Luke Edgemon. The loss of such talent was very disappointing and caused us to question the judgment of the four celebrity coaches.

One of the most enjoyable performances of the night was between folk duo Midas Whale and Beale Street performer Patrick Dodd. Singing Elvis Presley’s “Burning Love,” the threesome had a great time on stage, embracing the bluegrass version of the popular tune.

But the best performance of the night has to go to the very first battle. Team Usher’s Vedo and Jessica Childress graced us with a sassy, effortless performance of Bruno Mars’s “Locked Out of Heaven.” Their chemistry and flawless harmonies had us hooked from the start. Working together, these two took us out of the “battle” mentality and transported us to a magical land where riffs are executed perfectly and high notes ain’t nothin’ but a thang.

Sadly, Jessica was sent home without a steal, but this performance will live on. Do you agree with our pick? Watch the clip and tell us below!
