Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Finale Spoiler: Is Meredith’s Baby in Danger?

Grey’s Anatomy returns from its frustrating mini-hiatus with Season 9, Episode 21: "Sleeping Monster" tomorrow, April 25. But forget next episode: We're already looking ahead to the Season 9 finale. A lot of fans are worried that Meredith's (Ellen Pompeo) unborn baby will be put in peril. Is that a concern fans should cling to? A new spoiler from TVLine sheds some light on the question.

When a fan asked TVLine if fans should be worried about Meredith's baby, the response was, "Not nearly as worried as you should be about the person delivering Mer’s baby on Grey’s Anatomy."

Huh. Interesting. We assume the implication is that Mer's life ends up in danger. That goes along with the Season 9, Episode 23: "Readiness Is All" synopsis, which warns "one wrong move puts the lives of Meredith and her baby in jeopardy." Plus, the season finale synopsis says that "one of the doctors fight for their life."

Sounds to us like Mer might end up having another near-death experience. But there's no way Shonda Rhimes would kill her, right? Apparently there aren't supposed to be any major cast departures at the end of the season, so we're thinking the title Grey will make it out OK. Or do you think this spoiler means the doctor who is delivering Mer's baby ends up running into trouble?
