Grey’s Anatomy Synopsis For Season 9, Episode 23: “Readiness Is All”

It’s hard to believe it, but we’re only two weeks from the penultimate episode of Grey’s Anatomy Season 9.

While we already knew the title of Episode 23 (“Readiness Is All”) and the basic premise (superstorm wreaking havoc in Seattle), we didn’t know the nitty gritty of the intense hour until now — and MerDer fans may want to sit down before reading this.

OK, so you’re seated? Here's the official synopsis of the episode:

“The doctors of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital prepare for a super storm heading towards Seattle; Owen’s desire to be a parent gets stronger as he becomes closer to Ethan; and one wrong move puts the lives of Meredith and her baby in jeopardy. Meanwhile, Jo looks to Alex for help in a moment of crisis, and one doctor gets the shock of her life.”

No, no, no — the youngest member of the McFamily cannot be in jeopardy. We are a bit distracted by Owen’s paternal instincts and a female doc’s “shock of her life,” but mostly, we’re worried about Meredith and Derek. Can’t they catch a break, just this once? Please, Shonda? Do it for us.

No matter what insane things happen in this episode, there will be a few extra hands on deck. One Tree Hill’s Hilarie Burton continues her arc in Episode 23, and classic All My Children star Jennifer Bassey guest-stars, too.

Are you ready for “Readiness Is All,” or does the potential for MerDer baby drama scare you? Sound off below.
