Pretty Little Liars Season 4 Spoilers: Sean Faris Dishes on Rosewood’s Newest Cop
Last month, Pretty Little Liars cast Rosewood’s newest lawman. Sean Faris will play recurring character Gabriel Holbrook, a Pennsylvania state police officer, and in a recent ETonline interview, he dished the details of his character, who is about to face “the biggest test he’s ever faced.”
“Officer Holbrook is, about, 27-years-old but is already a successful detective and in order to do that, you have to be on your game,” Sean said. “He's a hard worker, he's very focused, he's to the point, but he's also surrounded by a group of suspects who are all beautiful young women, so we'll see how he stands the test.”
Sounds like the Liars might have more luck convincing Officer Holbrook of their innocence than they ever have convincing Wilden. Sean continued: “It'll be the biggest test he's ever faced — although, as of right now, he doesn't see this case as the challenge it's going to become.”
Poor Holbrook. He has no idea what he’s in for. Not only do Rosewood police officers have to deal with an ever-increasing number of murders and arsons, but they also, on occasion, turn up dead (RIP, Garrett). Luckily, it sounds like Sean is having a pretty good time so far, especially filming with co-star Roma Maffia, who is playing the other new cop in town and Holbrook’s partner, Linda Tanner.
When asked about the difference between filming a movie that has an already-scripted beginning, middle, and end, and a show like PLL in which you’re never really sure who your character is, Sean said: “It's funny you and I are having this conversation now because I was talking with Roma Maffia, who plays my partner on the show, and we literally had this discussion of ‘we could play it this way, we could play it that way.’ So we did each of our scenes three different ways and the editors can cut it together however they'd like to.”
We cannot wait to see the duo in action! Are you excited to see Sean and Roma as Rosewood’s newest law enforcement? What do you think of Sean’s description of Holbrook? Let us know in the comments below!
