Kree Harrison Apologizes To Kellie Pickler For Saying They’d Get Matching Tattoos — Interview

American Idol 2013 finalist Kree Harrison and Dancing With the Stars 2013 frontrunner Kellie Pickler may be besties, but Kree still felt the need to apologize to the former Idol contestant about getting matching tattoos if they both win.

In a press interview at rehearsals this week, Kree talked about what the ladies do for fun when they aren’t working, and said the whole thing about getting matching tats with Kellie was really just a joke and she didn’t mean for everyone to take her seriously.

Considering song choice, obviously, it's all girls left. If there was a week where you had to sing a guy song, would you have something in mind?

I love Otis Redding, but as far as like current goes, I don't know. I'd really have to think about it. There's so many good ones out there.

So with four people who are super talented and no one's going to bomb. How do you keep it interesting for TV? Not that we're looking for train wrecks, but it’s one good song after another.

We’re going to do some sumo wrestling, catfight.

An hour or two?

Pillow fights. I don't know. I think that being performance. At the end of the day, it all comes down to that. We can all pick great songs but it's connecting.

You opened the door with the pillow fights. What do you guys do for fun?

We like to listen to music.

No. For fun?

We like to dance, that's what I mean. I'm trying to think about what we do. I mean, whenever we get back to the hotel we're so tired, we just talk about how tired we are. Then we fall asleep. I don't know. We go to dinner together. See, we're so boring. We're all 80 years old at heart.

Now that the weeks have gone by, what's the one question that you hate answering?

The one question I hate is who's your biggest competition? I think that's so silly because they're all my biggest competition. It was silly when Janelle was here, and we were both country because I feel like there's so much talent and we're so different even if we are in the same genre. We're all competing.

You had the shoulder first, and now your voice is gone.

I'm a hobbit.

What is going on, Kree?

I just need to rest it until tomorrow and then hope for the best. Luckily, one of my songs is very bluesy, so maybe I'll get to pull off the Janice tone I'm rocking these days.

So if you make it to the top three, you get to go home. Have you thought about that yet?

Of course, I have. We've all thought about it. That's all of our goals because how great would it be to go to your hometown and kind of share this celebration with them, people that have supported you since you were a baby.

So what would it mean to you if you got to go home?

The world. It means the world to me to share that with them. I have the key of the city now, so I'm going to go try that out. How many things can I get into with this?

I hear you and Kellie Pickler are going to get matching tattoos. Is it going to be a big dragon?

I regret even saying that out loud. I saw her yesterday, and I'm like, “I'm sorry. I don't know what happened. I was just talking about the conversation we had.” She's like, “I don't care.” We were just joking, but I mean, who knows? We both like tattoos. I haven't gotten one yet. So I don't know.

Here I was expecting a full sleeve?

Disco balls and Idol, never. No, I love her. She's kicking butt. I saw her yesterday, and I was like, sister. She's looking good.
