“Mortified” Reese Witherspoon Returns Home to Kids After Arrest
It had to be an awkward conversation. "Hey kids, you may have heard some crazy things about Mom’s weekend..."
According to People, Reese Witherspoon returned to L.A. on Monday after her arrest for disorderly conduct and her husband Jim Toth's arrest on a DUI charge. She has three children, two with Ryan Phillippe, and People says those kids — Ava, 13, and Deacon, 9 — were staying with their dad while she was shooting The Good Lie in Atlanta.
A source told People Reese "didn't feel good about being away" from the kids after the arrest news. She's happy to be back home with them. Another source said she's still "mortified" by what happened. "She's a fun girl who likes to have a good time and let loose every now and then," still another source said. "What's shocking is she didn't rein it in enough to keep herself out of trouble. It was a really bad decision on both their parts and trust me, they're evaluating that and they will make damn sure it doesn't happen again."
Yeah, Reese’s situation is getting the most play as the more famous of the two (we do know her name!) but what he did was actually dangerous and could’ve hurt more than a person’s reputation. They are due in Atlanta court on May 22.
