Who Should Go Home on American Idol 2013 From the Top 4? 4/24/2013
Only four contestant remain on American Idol2013. Of these talented ladies, who will be sent home tomorrow during the elimination round?
Based on tonight’s performances (and the feedback from the American Idol judges), we have a good idea of who will at least be sticking around to sing another day.
Amber Holcomb stole the show tonight with her versions of Celine Dion’s “Power of Love” and Richard Harris/Donna Summer's disco track “MacArthur Park.” The judges gushed over both performances, with Randy Jackson declaring he’d sign her to a record deal today. While we’re not totally in agreement with their heaps of praise, we do think Amber has grown tremendously since day one of the competition, and she definitely has mass appeal as an artist.
Amber’s biggest competition may very well beAngie Miller, who wowed the judges with her piano-accompanied rendition of Jessie J’s “Who You Are,” and later her sultry version of Julie London’s “Cry Me a River.” As the one contestant who’s sang an original song for the judges, Angie’s edge comes from her marketability as a songwriter from the getgo.
Kree Harrison caught some flack from the judges for her song choices, which were Susan Tedeschi’s “Hurt So Bad” and Procol Harum’s “A Whiter Shade of Pale.” While everyone agrees Kree can sing practically anything,Keith Urban said she needs to choose her songs more wisely, whileNicki Minaj feels like Kree’s inner spark is fading a bit. But Nicki reiterated that no matter what happens, she’s confident Kree will go on to sell millions of records.
Candice Glover seemed to fly under the radar tonight despite continuing to give reliably great performances. First, she took on Drake’s “Find Your Love,” and later on she sang the Bee Gee’s “Emotions.” The judges praised her vocals, but they didn’t have the same fawning appreciation for her efforts as they had over Amber's turnout tonight.
Based on the evening's performances, who do you think should be sent home from the competition? Vote in our poll below and let us know!
