Royal bad boy Prince Harry recently tried something rather domestic for a change: changing diapers — with one hand, no less.
But before you go thinking that Prince William’s younger brother is now a baby daddy (would you really be that surprised?) you should know that he was doing diaper duty for charity. Also, he wasn’t changing the diaper of a real baby, but a doll.
The Prince was visiting Headway, a charity that provides support to those suffering from brain injuries. Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, served as a royal patron of the organization. While the Prince was greeted by families and several hundred schoolchildren, he was shown around the facility. Tasks like simulated diaper changing are used to rehabilitate victims of brain injuries, so Harry gamely gave it a try.
Harry used the moment to playfully tease his brother, saying, “This is exactly how my brother is going to be," as he struggled to fasten the sides of the nappy. "All the mothers will be saying 'don't let him near the children’."
This visit is one of the several charity-focused public activities that the prince has undertaken since returning from a four-month tour of duty in Afghanistan. Next month, Harry will be visiting the U.S., where he’ll be attending public events to support veterans. He’ll make six stops around the country, including Colorado and New Jersey.
Let’s hope Las Vegas isn’t on his itinerary this time around — that place is known to get the young royal in trouble!
