It will be easy for them to remember their new baby's birthday, since their two-year-old daughter Mia was also born on April 25!
“We didn’t plan it!” the 49-year-old star says of the mutual birthday. “Mia was born a week late, and Penna was a week early.”
Earlier this month, Ian — who has also appeared on Dancing with the Stars — made it clear how thrilled he was to have a little one on the way.
"We are so excited to have another baby!" he tweeted recently.
Ian has admitted to hoping for a boy initially, but he said he came around quickly to the idea of adding another member of the fairer sex to his brood.
"At the moment I found out what sex the baby was, there was a little time of disappointment, but there are just as many reasons to have a girl as to have a boy," he says. "Spending two years with Mia showed me that.”
This is proving to be a busy time for Ian, who will be joining the Chippendales strip show in Las Vegas soon for a four-week run.
Ian is best known for playing fun-loving Steve Sanders for ten seasons on Beverly Hills, 90210.
