Selena Gomez might not come out smelling like roses after this mess.
Adrenalina Inc. filed the lawsuit, saying that in 2011, Gomez had agreed to collaborate with the company to develop and promote fragrances bearing her name.
The singer-actress is being accused of backing out of the deal after the company spent $2 million on the perfume project. The company says Selena failed to promote the product, leaving Adrenalina without a celeb fronting the fragrance.
Adrenalina is suing for damages and is looking for a court order that would force the Come and Get It singer to hold up her end of the deal.
You may remember Selena did release a fragrance back in June 2012, but it isn't clear if that was the frgrance from the Adrenalina deal.
TMZ released an update on the mess from Selena's lawyer, who blows off the lawsuit:
"Any claim that Selena did not meet her promotional obligations is ridiculous, manufactured after Adrenalina was terminated. Selena will vigorously defend this lawsuit, and will soon bring her own lawsuit against Adrenalina for millions in damages."
