American Idol host Ryan Seacrest possesses a pitch-perfect radio voice and a face made for television. In other words, our Kid Butterscotch has no shortage of media charms.
The guy didn’t become the hardest working man in showbiz by not doing his job well, right? Host of not only American Idol, but a nationally syndicated KIIS-FM radio program, “On Air With Ryan Seacrest,” as well as a red carpet interviewer for E! Entertainment — our Ry-Ry really is indispensable in his field.
So all that said, you may be wondering at what rate does Ry dole out his distinctive brand of media-ready likability? The answer may shock you: Ryan Seacrest is currently in a three-year, $45 million contract for his various on-air television and radio hosting duties. And that's not even counting all of his other side gigs, product endorsements, guest appearances and Today show 'special correspondent' position. (Which might just be expanded soon.)
So yeah, people might make fun of Ry’s hair and whatnot. But it clearly pays to be the Kid.
