We get why we would want to be Desiree Hartsock, but that’s mostly based around wanting to look like her, make dresses like her, and have 25 guys chasing after us. (Seriously, that last one would’ve saved us a whole mess of restraining orders...) But sometimes people pretend to be the Bachelor or Bachelorette by creating fake Twitter accounts, and then tweeting from them.
So, as we head into Des’s season of The Bachelorette, we want to make one thing clear: Desiree does indeed have a Twitter handle, and no matter what other parts of herself get dedicated fans tweeting ‘em up (Tierra’s Eyebrow says hi), this is the ONLY one that belongs to Des. It is @DesHartsock, k?
Desiree has been MIA since The Bachelor Season 17’s “After The Final Rose” special on March 11, when she was announced as the Bachelorette for Season 9. “Wow..@YenterLindsay handled that with such class. Love you girl. #beautifulinsideandout,” she tweeted. That night, she posted pictures of her Bachelor sister wives and hashtagged up a storm.
We can’t wait ‘til filming is done and she can go back to posting her favorite bible verses, hilariously cryptic responses to friends’ tweets, and selfies.
Catch Desiree’s search for love with The Bachelorette Season 9 kicks off on May 27.
