On April 30, Team Usher‘s pop singer Josiah Hawley and Jess Kellner were pitted against each other on The Voice 2013 knockout rounds. Josiah took the stage with his acoustic rendition of the late Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black.”

Following Josiah, Jess came in with her soulful cover of “You Give Me Something” by James Morrison. While the coaches were a bit undecided on which singer gave a better performance, the choice ultimately came down to Usher. When it was time to make his decision, Usher chose Josiah.
