TNT Renews Dallas For Season 3, Plans to “Honor J.R.’s Memory”

The show must, and will, go on for Dallas — even without Larry Hagman. The Dallas star died of complications from throat surgery in November 2012, but the TNT reboot is still keepin' on, announcing it will be back for a third season. According to On the Red Carpet, 15 new episodes will premiere in early 2014.

"Dallas has built a passionately loyal following with its expertly woven storylines, clever twists and turns, and numerous outstanding performances by a cast that spans generations," said Michael Wright, president, head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies. "Although we said goodbye to Larry Hagman and his iconic character J.R. Ewing this year, 'Dallas' has many more stories left to tell, and the Ewing clan will continue to honor J.R.'s memory by keeping its audience surprised and delighted."

The show's stars are thrilled to be coming back. "Welcome back is right. For #season3 ! :) #Dallas #itsofficial," Josh Henderson (John Ross Ewing) tweeted on April 30. “YES!!!!!!!! Season 3 of #DallasTNT is coming! Who's excited?" Jordana Brewster (Elena Ramos) also tweeted.

Are you glad to see the show return?
