Harry Connick, Jr., Returns to American Idol to Mentor the Top 4
American Idol fans everywhere are going to let out a little squeal tonight – okay, maybe just the ladies – as mentor extraordinaire Harry Connick Jr. is back!
He mentored the season nine hopefuls and the online buzz was extremely positive. In fact, many hoped he might join the Idol crew in a more official capacity, possibly as a mentor or a judge. Perhaps American Idol 2014? We can dream!
He’ll be guiding the American Idol Top 4 with their performances, which will be especially helpful considering one of the themes is “Standards” for the “then” portion of a “Then and Now” show. With four ladies whose vocals are nearly unparalleled in the history of Idol, he may be as starstruck as the girls.
Harry will be returning for Thursday’s one-hour performance show (8 p.m.- 9 p.m. on FOX) to debut his new single, “Every Man Should Know”. Will.i.am will be performing as well. Perhaps the two will duet in the future? Now that would be interesting!
