Is Newly Divorced Kris Humphries Headed Back To Court Already?
After a legal battle of more than a year and a half, Kris Humphries just settled his divorce from ex-wife Kim Kardashian on April 19, but is the NBA baller headed back to court already?!
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune, Kris’s former personal assistant Tracy Paradise is suing him for terminating her contract early—and she’s suing his mom Debra too!
Paradise was reportedly hired as Kris’ assistant in February 2012. In September of that year, according to the lawsuit, “the Humphries required Paradise to relocate from Minnesota to New York.” As a player for the Brooklyn Nets, Kris lives in New York during the basketball season. Paradise was reportedly to be paid $3,500 a month for housing on top of her $75,000 annual salary. Her responsibilities were to include, “personal training, nutrition duties, body work, household management and [many, many!] other duties including work for the Kris Humphries Foundation.”
Paradise reportedly claims that her contract was unfairly terminated in September 2012, before she moved to New York, and so the Humphries owe her the remaining $37,500.
Emails attached to the lawsuit apparently showcase some unpleasant (but funny) back-and-forths between Paradise and Debra Humphries, including haggling over much travel time they’d pay for while she drove to New York from Minnesota (one day), whether they’d pay for cable in her apartment (no), and professional struggles of Kris’ sister, model Kaela Humphries (um, OK).
Oh, and the lawsuit also claims that the Humphries’ kept some of her stuff? “Out of sheer spite, the Humphries have unjustifiably failed … to return Paradise’s personal property,” the lawsuit reads. Said property includes: a mountain bike, an Ironman Coeur d’Alene finisher’s mug, a Whistler mug and a Magic Bullet blender.
Ohhh well in that case, can you blame them? Those blenders are awesome.
