Pink Opens Up About Motherhood in Glamour: “Being a Parent Is a Jedi Mind F**k”
Pop superstar Pink sat down with Glamour recently to honestly share her thoughts about parenting and marriage.
The singer discussed the meaning behind her 2-year-old daughter Willow Sage’s name, saying, "I love the idea that a willow tree cannot be snapped or broken. And we burn sage all the time. It clears bad energy."
The badass mom frankly discussed her challenges with parenting, including recalling a “worst parenting moment” in which Willow fell and got a concussion. “That was the worst day of my life,” she says. “And what do they say? 'Kids fall' Welcome to parenthood. I thought, I can't handle this. I'm fitting her for a bubble."
“Every time she bounces on the bed, I see stitches,” she adds. “Being a parent is a Jedi mind f**k. It’s also the raddest thing ever.”
Finally, the famously expressive singer dished on swearing in front of her daughter. "Willow said, 'f***in' hi,' the other day. I'm like, 'F***!'"
Pink also touched on her on-again marriage and reconciliation with husband Carey Hart. "Long-term relationships are an everyday choice,” she says. “It's harder to be in a marriage than it is to bounce from one relationship to the next. We're good because we communicate and we've grown up together, not because we don't fight."
