Single Moms: Would You Ever Consider Trying Out for The Bachelorette?
ABC’s The Bachelorette is a guilty pleasure for most of us mommies (let's get real: the man candy is irresistible), and Emily Maynard's season had us thinking: Is this fabulous show a good option for moms looking for love?
Finding Mr. Right as a single mother can be tough. Not only do you have to carve out time in an already busy schedule, you have to find a guy who's open to the fact that you come with a kid. Sure, dating websites help — but what if you had Chris Harrison and his cupid hair to do the dirty work for you?
Of course, there are a few downsides — like the fact that your kiddo might be confused by all the cameras. But Emily's daughter, Ricki, got to travel around the entire world while her mommy was filming! Plus, Em made sure The Rickster didn't meet any of her suitors until she had found "The One" (a.k.a. Jef Holm), who unfortunately didn't turn out to be The One at all. But that's a whole different story...
The best part of going on The Bachelorette as a single mom? All your potential hubbies know you have a child ahead of time, and they're more than willing to step up as father figures.
What do you think, ladies with kiddos? Would you consider looking for love on The Bachelorette, or is it a bad idea to expose children to reality TV?
