Justin Bieber Stops Turkey Concert for Muslim Custom, Delighting Fans
All Justin Bieber needs is a beauty and a beat break.
The pop star earned praise for stopping his concert twice in Turkey to honor the Muslim prayer call, according to E! Online.
Fans were said to be "shocked" and "delighted" by the pauses.
Some fans reportedly referred to the Biebs as "respectful" and a "great man."
“Arab artists DON’T stop their shows… Go Justin," one fan wrote on Twitter, using the handle @maysoonzayid.
"I just gain a lot of respect for Justin Bieber after hearing that he stopped his concert twice to honor Muslim prayer," another fan tweeted.
We don't blame people for being surprised by Justin's gesture. Usually when fans are commenting publicly about one of his shows, it's for negative reasons, like the shows that he has been late for recently.
The Azan is the Islamic prayer call and is played five times a day from the mosque in Istanbul.
So is Justin a changed man — and could his relationship with Selena Gomez be the difference in making him more respectful?
Either way, let's hope he keeps up the good behavior. Perhaps the next time he does something decent, people won't be completely flabbergasted.
