Kobe Bryant Feuding With Mom After She Auctioned Off His Belongings
You'd think money problems would not be an issue for someone making almost $30 million a year.
Sadly, basketball star Kobe Bryant and his mother are engaged in a bitter feud over money, according to TMZ.
Kobe is said to be upset that his mom, Pamela Bryant, recently took lots of his memorabilia — including his old jerseys, high school championship rings, and trophies — to an auction house.
Pamela claims that Kobe gave her the items, and now she has received a $450,000 advance on the items which she is using to buy a home in Nevada.
However, Kobe has informed the auction house that they can't sell the items because they belong to him.
Sources say Kobe and Pamela's issues arose because she wanted him to buy her a fancier house than he was willing to. He apparently offered to buy his parents a home in Las Vegas for much less than a million dollars, and they wanted something nicer.
Pamela is reportedly upset that the Lakers star spends big bucks on his mother-in-law, including moving her into multi-million dollar mansions.
However, Kobe feels he has more than taken care of his own parents, having given them millions and buying them homes and vehicles over the years.
This feud apparently has been building over time, dating back to when his parents weren't pleased that he refused to ask his wife, Vanessa, to sign a prenup.
