Game of Thrones Season 3, Episode 7 Promo: 7 Things We Learn

Game of Thrones promos are always rife with information about the upcoming episode especially for book fans who can read between the lines — so it's worth taking an extra close look. Here's what we can learn from the preview for Season 3, Episode 7: “The Bear and the Maiden Fair.”

Jon's accusation. The promo opens with Jon confronting Orell about the way Orell cut Jon and Ygritte loose in Season 3, Episode 6: "The Climb." Orell? Is not apologetic. Man's gotta do what a man's gotta do to stay alive.

Brienne in trouble. At :07, we see Jaime leaving Harenel as Locke, the one who cut off his hand, mocks, "Don't you worry about your friend. We'll take good care of her." And then near the end we see Brienne laying on the ground in a pit. Baaad news bears.

Beric and Arya. Good news: There's more Arya this week! We see Beric tell her, "The Red God is the one true god, who's yours?" "Death," she responds, like the marginally crazy person she is. After sending Gendry off with Melisandre, Beric better watch his back; Arya hold grudges. Indeed, at :26 we see her shout at Beric, "I'll have the Lannisters kill you all!" There's also a shot of her running.

Gendry: more than a bastard. At :24, Gendry tells Melisandre he's just a bastard. She gives him a sharp look, like "Oh, hell no, you're much more than that." If you've forgotten, he is a bastard, but he's Robert's bastard.

Dany's next move. If you missed Dany and her dragons this week, you're in luck. She's back, and apparently contemplating attacking a city called Yunkai. Jorah tells her to skip it: "We don't need Yunkai. They have strong walls. They'll chip away at us, man by man." Will Dany listen? We see someone — he appears to be a Yunkai bigwig — tell her, "If blood is your desire, blood shall flow."

More Theon torture. You know, in case what we've been subject to seen soo far isn't enough for you.

Other characters in the episode. We get brief shots of Robb and Talisa, Sansa, and a dragon. Sounds like a packed hour.
