“Caleb is Hana's rock all summer long,” PLL showrunner Marlene King tweeted yesterday, making our shipper hearts cry in frustration. We love Haleb, but this sounds like it is going to make Caleb’s move to Ravenswood even more heartbreaking.
Setting aside our mixed reaction for a moment, this tweet leads us to two conclusions: First of all, that Hanna will be in need of a rock. We know that things are always rough for the Liars, but this implies that things will be going even less than swimmingly than usual for our favorite Rosewood blonde. Could it have something to do with the fact that Wilden’s swampy police car was parked outside the Marin house at the end of Season 3. Whatever’s in Wilden’s trunk sounds pretty incriminating, which could spell trouble for Hanna and her mom specifically. Now is really not a good time for Ashley Marin to garner attention, considering she still has that hit-and-run over her head (along with the footage from it in said swampy police car). Could Hanna’s mom be headed to the clink?
Our second take-away from the tweet is that Season 4 will at least be partially set during the summer. Perhaps this means that Season 4 will take us through the rest of senior year and through the summer, and Season 5 will pick-up when the girls are in college? This could better explain Caleb’s departure from PLL. Does Ravenswood, by any chance, have a college within its creepy, cursed confines?
How does this Haleb tease make you feel? Why do you think Hanna will need “a rock”? Let us know in the comments below!
