Who Died in Revenge Season 2, Episode 20: “Engagement”?

Everyone form a prayer circle, grab a puppy, and light a candle for Emily Thorne's sensei Satoshi Takeda, who was killed in Revenge Season 2, Episode 20, "Engagement." The mysterious Japanese samurai expert met his untimely demise after a suspenseful on-the-edge-of-your-seat fight with Aiden Mathis, who Takeda accused of getting sloppy. One thing that's not sloppy are Aiden's skills with a sword!

Here's how it all went down: Takeda strolled into Emily's engagement party (yes, she's re-engaged to Daniel while still technically dating Aiden), after leaking some info about Aiden's true identity to Danny boy. Now that Daniel knows of Aiden's connection to Flight 197, Emily's entire revenge plan is in jeopardy.

Back at the party, Takeda and Emily have a little beachside chat, where he calls Aiden "careless and undisciplined." He tells Emily she needs to walk alone, especially considering The Initiative is planning another attack. When Ems offers her services to stop them, Takeda gets all power trippy and says he plans to take the reins alone. Yeah, good luck with that.

Takeda's next stop is Aiden's secret cottage, natch. The sensei lets himself right in, grabs a sword (what? You don't have one lying around your house?), and challenges his protege to a duel after accusing him of "failing" and pulling him off the mission. Aiden's like, "Oh, hell no!" and fights the old dude in an epic battle, killing him on his own sword. Tora! Tora! Tora!

Now that Takeda's toast (and New York City's in the dark!) what's going to happen next? Tune in next week for the 2-hour finale event on May 12, and make sure you're wearing your black hoodie because another character will kick the bucket.

Are you shocked that Aiden killed Takeda? Tell us below!
