American Idol 2013 Spoilers: Season 12 Top 3 Song Themes Revealed!

American Idol spoilers for season 12 have been coming in fast and furious, thank goodness! We haven't even gotten to next week yet, and we already have the song theme spoilers!

Now that it will be down to three performers, these girls will have three themes to deal with for the next round according to the official FOX press release: Jimmy Iovine’s Choice, Judges’ Choice, and Idol's Choice. Interestingly, @IdolSpoilers claims the Idol's Choice has been replaced with Producer's Choice. Over at mjsbigblog, they theorize this alleged switch was "all about manipulating the outcome."

As we predicted yesterday before the elimination results, the three girls we’ll see take on these themes will be Kree Harrison, Candice Glover, and Angie Miller.

Another thing MJ pointed out is it’s interesting to note the songs picked by Jimmy and the American Idol judges, as they tend to give the better songs to the ones they like and a the stinkers to ones they have it in for. We'd say MJ is being too cynical, but we actually tend to agree a bit, although we think the judges really love all these girls this year. Even so, taking away the Idol's Choice and replacing it with a Producer's Choice, if that rumor is true, just gives the show even more ways to make sure the right girl (cough) gets the right songs (cough, cough).

It's not cheating, you know, it's just the scripted part of unscripted television, right?

Our only hope is that, despite some of the old souls of the remaining performers, the judges and producers will give these girls contemporary numbers to sing. We’d love for them to showcase the kind of artist they want to be today.

What do you think of these song themes?
