Once Upon a Time

Is Gold Better With Lacey or Belle on Once Upon a Time? Emilie De Ravin Says…

The last few episodes of Once Upon a Time Season 2 has been a weird one for Rumbelle shippers. On one hand, there have been a lot of scenes involving Mr. Gold/Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) and Belle (Emilie de Ravin). On the other hand it's not really Belle, it's Lacey, her Storybrooke alter-ego, who likes Gold for all the wrong reasons.

Which version of Emilie De Ravin's characters is better for Storybrooke's resident mastermind? Is it Belle, who's constantly encouraging his better nature, or Lacey, who lets him embrace his dark side? Well, if you ask Emilie herself, the answer is clear.

"Belle and Rumple," Emilie tweeted recently. "Meant to be, forever! Come on! Xoxox."

Aww, yay! We find Lacey interesting, but clearly Rumbelle is the way to go long term.

That said, Emilie also clarifies that while Lacey may embrace Gold's bad side, she's "Not evil." As Emilie explains, "She's just who she is. Very inedited."

Who do you like better, Belle, or Lacey? Sound off in the comments below.
